Bukayo Saka is arguably one of world’s best talent at Arsenal who has had an extraordinary season to this date. He has scored 12 goals and assisted 10 times in the league. He has hit double digits in both Goals and assists. He still believes that he go to another level soon. Still, only 21 Bukayo Saka is already world class. He should be classed among the likes of Mbappe, Vinicius, Haaland etc.
Criticism for Bukayo Saka for being world class at Arsenal
Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan has said that Arsenal star Bukayo Saka is still not world class. He further said,
“This idea that we need to tell every English player that once they hit a vein of form that they’re world-class is a false equivalency for me. Saka is a very good player, the current incumbent of that particular title.”
“But when we talk about world-class, we talk about geniuses. We talk about Mbappe, we talk about the young kid at Real Madrid, Vinicius Junior, that I believe are geniuses.”
The numbers at Arsenal speak for itself
The Hale End academy graduate has netted 12 goals and provided a further 10 assists in the Premier League this season. He helped the Gunners build up an eight-point gap at the top of the table. That kind of form has led to fans and pundits alike labelling the 21-year-old world-class, something that Jordan believes is a slight exaggeration.
The performances Bukayo Saka puts in week in week out are worthy of being called world class. He has been Arsenal’s best for the last three seasons. If that was someone else everyone would have given him praise. Since he plays for Arsenal no one wants to call him world class. He has also been majestic for England whenever he starts for them. Being called as the Starboy at Arsenal he is surely and certainly playing like one as well.
