Brighton’s Moises Caicedo could now join Arsenal in the summer as recent updates suggest that the deal to close to completion.

Gunners were desperate to sign Caicedo in the January but Brighton blocked the deal. But now Arsenal stands a huge chance of signing their long-term target.

According to GIVEMESPORTS, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano stated about Arteta’s desperation to sign Caicedo this summer. Having slipped in pursuit of the Premier League Title this season, the Spaniard now looks desperate to bolster his squad. Arsenal will participate in Champions League after 6 years.

Romano further stated:-

“It’s not going to be easy for sure because, for Caicedo, there is a lot of interest. All the top English clubs are working around Moises Caicedo, so it’s not easy.

“This is why Arsenal tried to sign him in January. They wanted to be fast because they knew it would be complicated to attack the Moises Caicedo situation in the summer.

“But, for sure, there is Arsenal interest, and there has been a conversation with the player’s side.”

Reports also suggests that the Ecuadorian midfielder will cost around £90million, which is £20 million higher than what Gunners saw rejected in January. The midfielder will also gather interest from other big clubs this summer.

Journalist Andy Naylor termed Caicedo as “machine” last month, due to his recent exploits in the Premier League. His relentless work-rate for the Seagulls this season has caught attention of various clubs in Europe.

Caicedo at the right-flank can solve lots of problems for Arsenal next season. But Gunners also interested in signing Declan Rice which will cost them quite a hefty money.
