WHY ARSENAL WANTS CALLAN HAMILL?
Hamill is a versatile player capable of performing in defense and midfield. So, he has been on Arsenal’s radar following impressive training with their under-18 squad. Despite Rangers and Celtic interest, Hamill chose to remain with St Johnstone, signing a one-year contract extension.
He scored a goal for Scotland under 16 against Cyprus, have proved him to be a star. The transfer, set to be finalized on July 1, 2025, involves a six-figure compensation package for ensuring the young talent’s seamless transition to the Emirates Stadium.
So, another young talent might enter the Emirates soon. After this contract extension and rejecting two teams, it will be difficult for Arsenal.
This signing is in light of Manchester United’s recent signing of Ayden Heaven. He had been with Arsenal since 2020 and made his senior debut in October 2024 during a League Cup match.
Arsenal’s recent loss indicates that they are getting nowhere near the trophy. So, for now, they have to concentrate on the Champions League.
