Carney Chukwuemeka might leave Aston Villa

According to the reports, Carney Chukwuemeka is back at Bodymoor Heath, the training ground of Aston Villa and his time at the club might be up as it looks.

Aston Villa beat A-League side Brisbane Roar 1-0 in a pre-season friendly game. Another highly rated youngster Cameron Archer scored the only goal in the match to snatch the win for his side after coming off from the bench.

When Archer expressed his joy after scoring the winner on Instagram, Carney Chukwuemeka replied on his post. He commented ‘Goated’ on the comment section of his post. Under his comments, understandably, many Villa fans replied to him saying to ‘sign the contract’. However, given the England U-19 international’s current situation, he is more likely to leave either this season or on free next year.

Gerrard also commented on the goal Archer scored and his team’s performance saying:

“I thought the goal we scored was fantastic. (Roar) had a lot of men behind the ball… sometimes that can be frustrating.”

“Our first-half performance lacked spark, it lacked quality,” said former Liverpool and England great Gerrard. The second half we had more energy, more creation and movement and we could have won by more. I thought all our ex academy players were fantastic.”

Meanwhile, reports heavily linked the teenager with an exit from the club in this summer transfer window. This is because of the unrest caused regarding his current contract at the club. Carney Chukwuemeka only has 12 months left on his current contract for the Midlands club.

The European giants in the likes of FC Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund are also taking notice of his situation. They will pounce the first chance to sign the 18 year old for cheap. Premier League clubs like Arsenal and Newcastle United too might join the race if he leaves Villa.
