According to the Athletic, Chelsea are continuing their transfer business. Chelsea have agreed to a loan deal for their striker Armando Broja, with Ipswich Town. This will be a big season for Ipswich Town in the Premier League after being recently promoted. However, the club is making some good transfer deals to stay competitive in the league. Ipswich Town have signed over ten new players in this transfer window till now. This includes players like Chelsea’s Omari Hutchinson and Manchester City’s Kalvin Phillips on loan as well. Ipswich Town became grabbed headlines even before their season opener, because of the famous pop singer Ed Sheeran, who bought a stake in the club.
After rebuilding their squad completely this summer, Ipswich Town will hope to stay in the Premier League for the seasons to come. In the opening match against Liverpool, the newly promoted side gave a decent fight to the Reds. Liverpool are facing their own problems after appointing a new manager and not signing a single player this transfer window. However, the Reds showed their class and won the opening game of the new campaign, with Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota appearing on the scoresheet. Even in their second match, they were able to give a fight to the defending champions, but eventually succumbed to the immense pressure put by Pep Guardiola’s men.
Chelsea agree a loan deal for Armando Broja
.Chelsea continue to make headlines this transfer window. The Blues have already signed over 20 players in this transfer window, and it is speculated they will sign more. Chelsea’s owner, Todd Boehly, is not hesitating to flex his financial muscles and continue the transfer business
Armando Broja is another player who will leave Stamford Bridge this season. Broja went to USA pre-season tour with Chelsea. However, after coming back, the striker has not been training with the first team. It is reported that Chelsea had been trying their best to offload the player, either on a loan deal or permanently.
Chelsea are ready to complete a loan deal with Ipswich Town, with an obligation to buy for £30 million at the end of the season, in case Ipswich stay up in the Premier League. Armando Broja has a contract with Chelsea until 2028. Broja is another product from Chelsea’s academy that will be leaving this summer after Conor Gallagher. The striker recently recovered from an ACL injury, which affected his growth as a player. Broja joined Fulham in the January transfer window; however, the striker failed to make his mark there. A move to Ipswich Town can really help the young striker get more game time this season.
The Todd Boehly era is finally here at Chelsea
Earlier, fans used to criticize Chelsea for having a rich owner. However, former Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich, deeply cared about the club and it’s players. The owner set a certain standard for the club, which helped them to fight and win all the trophies possible. This is something no other club in London has done yet.
Fans believe that Chelsea’s new owner, Todd Boehly, is destroying the legacy of the club for business and profits. This was evident when Chelsea decided to sack Mauricio Pochettino, despite the manager helping Chelsea finish in sixth place last season. Chelsea could not manage to sign a world-class manager and decided to sign Enzo Maresca, who spent only one year with Leicester City.
Ipswich Town can teach something to Chelsea regarding transfer business. The London club is in great shambles after losing to Manchester City in the opening game of the Premier League. Just like Armando Broja, many other players are not allowed to use the training facilities or train with the first team. Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca is still struggling to get tactics right, which was visible in the pre-season as well as in the season opener. This is going to be a very long and difficult season for Chelsea fans to bear, if things continue like this. However, yesterday’s emphatic win over Wolves will give some relief and confidence to the Blues fans.
