Chelsea have no intention of stopping as the Club continues spending money in the summer transfer window in order to sign new players. Chelsea already have spent more than 100M this summer completing seven signings including Tosin Adarabayo, Estevao, Omari Kellyman, Marc Guiu, Liernan-Dewsburry-Hall, Renato Veiga, and Caleb Wiley. Now the club is on the verge of signing another player for the goalkeeper position.

Chelsea’s new boss Enzo Maresca is determined to sign some of the players according to his own playstyle before the start of the new Premier League season. Former Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca joined Chelsea last month as the Club’s new head coach. Maresca brought Kiernan Dewsburry-Hall from Leicester City. No doubt Maresca wants players according to their own playing style. so, the former Leicester City midfielder met Enzo Maresca, but in another shirt.

Chelsea are facing a problem with the goalkeeper position

Now, Maresca believes that the Blues need a new goalkeeper who could start all the games in the upcoming season. Last season former Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino used two different goalkeepers for the Chelsea number one. Although Robert Sanchez started the season for Chelsea, as the season progressed Djordje Petrovic became Pochettinho’s number-one choice for the goalkeeper. Robert Sanchez and Djordje Petrovic both joined the Blues from Brighton and New England respectively.

But both the goalkeeper failed to mark their presence on the pitch last season. Robert Sanchez joined from Premier League side Brighton and made only 16 appearances in the Premier League. In this process, the 26-year-old conceded 25 goals and kept only 3 clean sheets in his 16 Premier League matches. On the other hand, Petrovic made 23 appearances for the Blues last season in the Premier League, conceded 38 goals, and managed to keep 5 clean sheets within this time period. Apart from these two Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa will level the club as the Blues has no intention of keeping him. So, new boss Enzo Maresca wants a solution for the goalkeeper position and looking for a new goalkeeper who can play the whole Premier League season.

Who will be Chelsea’s new goalkeeper?

Chelsea are now on the verge of signing Flip Jorgensen as their new goalkeeper from Spanish side Villarreal. Chelsea are set to sign him in this Summer transfer window. The Blues already reached Villarreal for the availability of Flip Jorgensen for Chelsea’s new number one. Flip Jorgensen is also very interested in joining the Blues. According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea will pay a transfer fee of 25M for Jorgensen. Flip Jorgensen might join Chelsea on a five-year contract with an option to extend his contract one more year.

Flip Jorgensen had a good season with the Spanish side Villarreal last season in Laliga. The 22-year-old made 36 appearances last season in the La Liga with Villarreal, conceded 63 goals, and kept 6 clean sheets. However, Villarreal finished the season 8th in the table, finished as the 3rd highest goal-conceded side after relegated side Almeria and Granada. But Flip Jorgensen’s performance was good enough though in the league. Flip Jorgensen’s move to Chelsea will be the eighth signing of this season for the Blues. Todd Boehly will continue his tradition of bringing young players to the Stamford Bridge.
