Chelsea already have signed some big names in this summer transfer window including Joao Felix, Pedro Neto, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. Now the Blues are planning to sign one more high-profile player before the end of the transfer window. No club has spent more money than Chelsea in this summer transfer window. However, this is not it as Chelsea are pushing hard to get Nigerian Victor Osimhen from Napoli.
Chelsea are trying hard to get Victor Osimhen
From the last summer transfer window, Chelsea have been trying to sign Victor Osimhen in the squad. But due to several reasons, the deal never happened. This summer is no different. The Blues have been trying so hard for the Nigerian since the opening of the transfer window. But same as the last two transfer window, various factors are blocking Chelsea from signing Victor Osimhen.
Victor Osimhen is not ready to cut down his salary and Napoli are also not willing to reduce the price for the 23-year-old. These two main factors are stopping Chelsea from the next steps. Still, Chelsea and Victor Osimhen have progressed a lot in the deal and Osimhen discussed with Chelsea about all the terms. Chelsea believes that Napoli should reduce the price tag for Victor Osimhen. Chelsea want to sign Victor Osimhen on loan for now with an option to buy in the future.
Meanwhile, Saudi club Al Ahli are also trying so hard to sign Victor Osimhen. Napoli and Al Ahli are in the final stages with Osimhen’s move. And there is no doubt when a player is chased by any Saudi clubs, it is very difficult for other European clubs to make the deal on their side as far as price is concerned. So, Chelsea have to move very quickly and tactically, otherwise, they will miss the chance of signing Victor Osimhen.
However, Napoli will progress further with Al Ahli only if Chelsea’s deal collapses. So, right now Chelsea are leading the line to sign Victor Osimhen and the Blues are very confident that this time they will be able to get the deal done.
Napoli sign Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea
Napoli completed the move of Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku with a transfer fee of £25m. Last month Napoli appointed Antonio Conte as their new head coach. Romelu Lukaku has already played under Antonio Conte during his time at Inter Milan. That’s why Conte wants to sign Romelu Lukaku and that deal is done now.
It is a big relief for the Belgian international because there will be no regular football for Romelu Lukau at Chelsea. So, this move will definitely help Lukaku get more playing time. The 31-year-old spent the last two seasons in Seria with Inter Milan and As Roma respectively. And that is a plus point for Napoli as he has experience in Italian football.
