Chelsea are reportedly aware of the contract situation of N’Golo Kante. They are also aware that he could end up joining Arsenal or Tottenham.

The French midfielder wants to stay in London. Hence, a free transfer to the Blues rivals cannot be ruled due to his contract situation of him.

According to reports, Arsenal and Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante on a free transfer. The French midfielder is out of contract in the next summer transfer window. Todd Boehly is yet to make a decision on his contract. Hence, rumors about his future have already begun.

The French midfielder is also set to miss the FIFA World Cup in Qatar later this year. This is because of the midfielder. The midfielder suffered a hamstring injury. Hence, he will be a big miss for the France national team. He will also miss the remaining matches for Chelsea before the World Cup starts. Although, questions will also arise about his long-term future with the club.

The report claims that the blues reportedly fear that Kante could leave the club on a free transfer. It also claims that the midfielder wants a three-year contract. However, the new owner of Chelsea are only willing to offer him a two-year contract. Hence, the negotiations on the new contract negotiations have currently stalled.

The player wants to still live in London for his future. Hence, Arsenal and Tottenham are realistic options for the rest of the career. Both of the clubs can potentially offer him Champions League football next season. The other reason is both the Premier League sides need a new midfielder. Hence, signing a quality midfielder like Kante would be a statement of real intent by the club.

Therefore, Chelsea needs to avoid strengthening their rivals in the Premier League and Champions League. Therefore, the fans of the club will hope that Kante and the club can agree in the coming months. This will be an interesting situation if he does not sign a new contract.
