The American boss has been a keen on acquiring an overabundance of young talents. Although, some of those moves are yet to make a senior team appearance. Arguably the most promising player on the list is Kendry Paez. Though, he will be unable to join up with the first team until 2025. Now, Goncalves is the latest name making it into the list of prodigies Chelsea are acquainted with. Although such a big amount may cause Chelsea to negotiate with the Brazilian side.

Boehly ready to spend more big money for Chelsea

Todd Boehly has spent more than a a billion since his taking over from Roman Abramovich a season ago. Despite being a huge failure of his project, he is ready for yet another big money deal. Chelsea will be making an official proposal to the Brazilian club for the attacking midfielder.

The youngster has a release clause in the region of £85m, although it is highly unlikely they will look to pay that fee to secure his services. However, some fans may find it rousing their irritation as the club is signing only youngsters while their first team is dilapidated. Despite the money being spent on the starting XI, there is still a glaring need for a number of positions to be addressed. The striker role being the main one. There have been many names suggested for that role, but the financial limitations may enforce them to have another amateur player for the no.9 position. Their current options Nikolas Jackson and Nkunku have failed to make a mark.
