Chelsea considering parting ways with N’golo Kante

According to sources, Chelsea are willing to part ways with midfield magician N’golo Kante next summer.

The Frenchman’s current deal runs until 2023. However, there is little hint that he will be signing an extension.

Chelsea are, thus, open to the idea of selling Kante next year so as to avoid losing him on a free transfer.

Will Chelsea really let N’golo Kante go?

The World Cup winner arrived at Stamford Bridges in 2016 from Leicester City. Since then, he has been one of world football’s top players.

He put up eye-catching performances in the Champions League last season. Many have suggested he should be a candidate to claim the coveted Ballon d’Or this year.

It is likely the 30-year-old midfielder might be allowed to depart West London in the 2022 summer transfer window.

Youngsters Conor Gallagher and Billy Gilmour look promising. The two are on loan at Crystal Palace and Norwich respectively and have been performing impressively. The club feel they would both be suitable replacements should Kante leave.

The midfielder has been consistently displaying world class performances. Tuchel’s side would expect to receive a substantial sum from any clubs approaching to secure his signature.

The French international has drawn interest from giants like PSG and Real Madrid.

N’golo Kante has been a key player for the Blues since arriving from the King Power. He has registered 224 appearances in all, conquering the Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League and Europa League.

The ex-Boulogne boy has found the net once in six appearances for his club at the beginning of the 2021-22 campaign.
