Chelsea could land Real Madrid’s midfielder Brahim Diaz in the summer. He currently enjoy a loan spell at AC Milan.
The Blues are currently struggling at scoring goals. Liverpool Legend Jamie Carragher recently criticised their inability to score to goals in awake of their away defeat to Borrusia Dortmund. Chelsea lost the match 1:0, as they couldn’t able to score a single goal. However, Potter’s side won the second leg to qualify for the Quarter Finals.
To get out of this misery, Chelsea will target new striker in the summer transfer window. According to Florian Plettenberg, they are still in a hunt for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen. But seeing his current form, the Nigerian will be a tough one to get. Chelsea manager Graham Potter is also interested in bringing a creative option to provide for the new striker and due to which Diaz is under their Radar.
As per Sunday Mirror reports, Chelsea are planning a bid of £25m for Diaz in the summer. He has impressed everyone with his performance in a loan spell at AC Milan.
Milan have an option to make the move permanent for a fee around £19m at the end of the season. But Real are planning to recollect the £23.5m they initially spent for Diaz and this can be seen as a greenlight for the Blues.
Diaz is growing through average season this term, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists in 23 apperances. He has been hailed as “sensational” by members of the media.
Diaz is still young and has huge potential. If Chelsea doesn’t signs João Felix permanently, the 23-year-old can be a good back-up option.
