After the Blues appointed Enzo Maresca as their new head coach, Chelsea now want to sign six new signings in the summer transfer window. The Blues already signed five new players in this transfer window. It started with Tosin Adarabioyo, the blues then signed Estevao Willian, Omari Kellyman, Marc Guiu, and most recently kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
So, Chelsea have already spent close to 100M in this transfer window, but the Blues are still determined to bring new faces in the summer. According to football london, the club are still willing to sign two new defenders.
Chelsea also agreed with a deal with FC Basel for the Portugal center-back Renato Veiga and also agreed to sign Argentinian defender Aaron Anselmino from Boca Juniors. But still, the Blues are determined to sign six new players apart from these two players.
Chelsea new signings
Enzo Maresca wants some of the best young talent to start his managerial career with the Blues. And the Chelsea board is also willing to give everything that Maresca needs. Here are the six players, that Chelsea might sign in the summer.
Jonathan David
Jonathan David has been in the news for a long time, for a potential move to Stamford Bridge. The Canadian striker played for French side Lille. Last month the clues reached Lille for availability, who has only one year left in his current contract. David had a great season with Lille, made 47 appearances for the club across all competitions, scored 26 goals, and registered 7 assists. Since his joining the French side in August 2020, the 24-year-old scored 84 goals in 183 matches for the French side. As expected Chelsea have to pay 20M for Jonathan David.
Nico Williams
Among the new signings, Chelsea can also go for the Spanish sensation Nico Williams in this transfer window. The Athletic Bilbao winger is one of the best young talents in European football right now. Williams scored 8 goals and bagged 16 assists for the club in 37 matches across all competitions last season. His most recent performance in Euro 2024 for Spain is also very much noticeable, with two-goal contributions in matches for his nation. So, Chelsea could go for this Spanish sensation in the summer for a possible move to Stamford Bridge.
Samuel Omorodin
Apart from Jonathan David Chelsea could go for another striker. And that is Athletic Madrid striker Samuel Omorodin. The 20-year-old was on a loan spell in Deportivo Alaves and made 35 appearances for them. Chelsea reached the Spanish giants last month to bring the Spanish striker in Chelsea but Athletic Madrid is still very much determined to keep Omorodin in Madrid.
Johan Bakayoko
According to some reports, the Blues are interested in signing Belgian winger Johan Bakayoko from PSV. The 21-year-old had a stellar season with PSV in the last season. The Belgian international made 48 appearances for PSV in all competitions, bagged 14 goals, and registered 14 goals also. His brilliant performance at the club level attacks many premier league giants, including Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea. And Chelsea is looking for a new winger, Bakayoko is one of the main targets of the Blues.
Crysencio Summerville
Chelsea already brought former Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-hall to reunite him with Enzo Maresca. Now, another Leicester City player, Crysencio Summerville could also be reunited with former Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca. The club scouted the 22-year-old for a long time now and could end up bringing him to Stamford Bridge.
Jhon Duran
Finally, in all the new signings, Chelsea are targeting Jhon Duran. The Blues have a strong interest in the Aston Villa striker. The Colombian had a decent season at the villa park and appeared 23 times in the premier league for Villa.
