After Romeo Lavia was brought down in the box after one minute and eleven seconds into the match, the Blues were awarded a penalty. Christopher Nkunku made no mistake as Chelsea broke the deadlock.

Noni Madueke took the responsibility of taking the penalty. And just like Christopher Nkunku, he also made no mistake as Chelsea were able to secure their first win under Enzo Maresca.

New faces on the pitch for Chelsea

Except for new summer signing Tosin Adarabioyo, Enzo Maresca subbed off all the remaining ten players who started the game. He came in place of Reece James to make his second appearance for the Blues.

Christopher Nkunku is back for Chelsea

Chelsea fans will be delighted with the current form of Christopher Nkunku. The Frenchman has scored in every game so far in this pre-season campaign. The 26-year-old made only 11 appearances in the last Premier League campaign, nine of them were coming off the bench. Nkunku was mainly out of the Chelsea first team due to injuries last season and later in the second half of the season, he was used as a substitute player. But under new manager Enzo Maresca, things are going well, with Christopher Nkunku leaving his mark on the pitch for Chelsea.
