According to Chelsea News, Chelsea defender praises his teammate over great performances in pre season. Chelsea defender Benoit Badiashile has nothing but praise for his Chelsea teammate Christopher Nkunku. Last season Christopher Nkunku was out for majority of the season due to injury. Many key players of the Chelsea squad were out due to injuries. However Nkunku was one of the players who was missed the most by Chelsea. The Blues did not have a proper attacker in their lineup for most fixtures in the season. Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino is famous for his attacking and direct tactics. Going back to his Tottenham days, the manager is famous for his tactics that create lots of chances. However his team need a player who can finish those chances like Harry Kane. Raheem Sterling is a good player however his end product is not so good. Same problem is with Nicolas Jackson.
Christopher Nkunku is showing glimpses of what Chelsea was missing last season. The Blues were lucky that English youngster Cole Palmer took on the responsibility of scoring goals. Cole Palmer almost managed to win the top scorer of the Premier League last season beating likes of Ollie Watkins, Erling Haaland. Currently the youngster was called up by Gareth Southgate for England’s Euro 24 campaign. Palmer was given very less time by England’s boss however he made the full use of his appearances. The youngster assisted Ollie Watkins in a crucial last minute winner against Netherlands. Moreover Palmer was the only one from England team to score in the Euro final against Spain. Chelsea will hope that the youngster keeps up his performances from the last season. Cole Palmer has not yet returned from his international duty along with Enzo Fernandez and Marc Cucurrella. Chelsea will be expecting them back soon.

It was a very rough season for Chelsea last year. The Blues ended on sixth position in the Premier League table with no European football for next season. They also made a shocking decision of sacking their manager Mauricio Pochettino before the start of next season. Currently it’s looking tough for Chelsea to make any more signings and they may have to play with the same squad. They are also in contention with the Financial Fair Play rules of the Premier League. This can affect their chances of making any new signings. Earlier this summer, Chelsea made it their priority to sign a world class striker for the next season. They were linked with many great players like Victor Osimhen, Alexander Isak, Ollie Watkins, Dominic Solanke however they looked like dream. Chelsea find it difficult financially to sign any of these players for next season.
The Blues already have a capable attacker in their squad in form of Christopher Nkunku. The French attacker is tearing apart defenses for Chelsea in the pre season. Chelsea defender Benoit Badiashile says he is delighted that Nkunku is in his team. In Chelsea’s recent match against Club America, Christopher Nkunku gave a world class performance for the blues. The player scored the first penalty won by Romeo Lavia and later in the game won another penalty with an amazing run. Fans all over the world are loving his performance after he gave Chelsea their first win of pre season. Christopher Nkunku has now scored three goals in three matches in the pre season. Chelsea manager will hope that the French forward is fit for rest of the season. Chelsea will face Manchester City in their next match of the pre season tour and then Real Madrid in final game.
