Chelsea ‘doing the most’ to sign Aurelien Tchouameni

A Marca report from a couple of days ago stated that Chelsea enquired about Aurelien Tchouameni. They are ‘looking for a quick decision’ from the AS Monaco player.

On the other hand, Real Madrid is also in the frame to nab the midfielder’s signature. Reports also say that they asked him to wait for a year if he wanted to join them.

As per reports by AS, Chelsea is the ‘main rival’ to the newly-crowned La Liga champion for his signature.

Real Madrid is aware of the fact that young France international is tilted towards moving to the Spanish capital. The prime issue is that the Ligue 1 outfit is demanding a transfer fee in the region of €70 million – €80 million. In order to sign him, they asked the 22-year-old himself to convince his present club to reduce the price tag, something around €50 million.

The Los Blancos can consider this €50 million valuation ‘feasible’ for him. Given some of the elite veteran midfielders will exit the club within a few seasons, they want to inject new and young blood into their team.

However, Real Madrid won’t get him easy, and of course, cheap. They have to ‘face competition from big clubs’ like Chelsea to secure his signature.

What interests Aurelien Tchouameni

In reports, Thomas Tuchel’s side is ‘doing the most’ to get him. They want to sign the French midfielder in the upcoming summer transfer window only. However, Paris Saint-Germain is also interested but the player wants to ‘try a new experience’, either in England or Spain.

The newspaper also added that the midfielder’s future is ‘very close to being resolved’. But the report didn’t state clearly where he would head this summer. Or, if he opts not to move this summer transfer window.
