Chelsea forward speaks out amidst all the transfer links

Chelsea are enjoying Premier League football under their new manager, Enzo Maresca. The Blues are producing positive results in the league. Currently, Chelsea are in fourth position with 14 points in the first seven matches. The whole team is performing very well as the Blues able to perform brilliantly. One of the players is Christopher Nkunku who has been enjoying his time with Chelsea since the start of this season. Now, the Frenchman is linked with the French side PSG for a possible move in the january transfer window.

Christopher Nkunku scored seven goals in eleven appearances this season across all competitions. The Frenchman is in a really good form. Last week he scored his first goal for his country in the Uefa Nations League group stage matches as France beat Israel by 4-1. Last season was not good enough for Nkunku as he suffered most of the time due to injury before coming to the squad in the second half of the season. The 26-year-old made only 14 appearances in the least season across all competitions and scored only three goals. In fact, out of 14 appearances, he started only in two matches in the last season.

This season is totally different for Christopher Nkunku. The former Leipzig man has scored seven goals in 11 games this season so far since the pre-season Nkunku has been performing brilliantly under the new manager Enzo Maresca. However, Enzo Maresca still using his as the second-choice striker after Nicolas Jackson, who is now the main number-nine for Chelsea. That’s why out of seven appearances in the Premier League this season, Nkunku only started one for the Blues. But whenever the Frenchman got his chance to show his talent, he performed brilliantly and produced goals for Enzo Maresca’s team.

Christopher Nkunku responds to transfer rumors

Now the Frenchman is linked with the French side PSG for a possible move in the next transfer window. However, there is very little chance that Christopher Nkunku will leave Chelsea and join the French side. According to the news published by The Standard, Christopher Nkunku responded to all the rumors. After scoring the first goal for his country last week the Frenchman was asked about the performance of young French and PSG winger Bradley Barcola. While answering his question Nkunku also gave a statement on all the rumours that are going on about his future. He said,

“Since the start of the season, I’ve been following PSG closely, and I can see he’s (Bradley Barcola) been putting up great stats. He scores and makes an impact, which is exactly what we expect from an attacking player. I hope he keeps it up, both at PSG and with the national team, just like he did [against Israel].

A Nkunku-Barcola partnership at PSG? I don’t know what to say about that. But yes, PSG is still a big club. Any approach this summer? No, no, no. I’ve always said there was no approach.”

There is no doubt that there will be some offers in the next transfer window for Christopher Nkunku as he is a great form right now. As the 26-year-old is not getting the starting position in the team, there is a high chance that he might leave Chelsea in the future. But for now, he is a Chelsea player and wants to focus more on that.
