Chelsea Given Opportunity to Secure Former Premier League Striker this Month

Chelsea

Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign a new forward this month who has had previous success at Stamford Bridge.

striker rumours

After a patchy first half to the Premier League season. The blues are currently in mid-table and seem to be searching for a new attacking addition during the January window. Regular goals have been a problem; at the moment, Chelsea is the eighth-best goal scorer in the Premier League.

Many strikers have been link to moves to London in 2024. With Chelsea reportedly having their eye on Napoli star Victor Osimhen. It might not be possible to make a move for the Nigerian, who is currently with Nicolas Jackson at the Africa Cup of Nations, this month. However, Osimhen would be amenable to a transfer to Chelsea. As his representative was in “positive” discussions with the co-owner of Behdad Eghbali.

I understand Chelsea have had contact with Osimhen’s entourage in recent weeks/days to discuss the possibility of the Napoli striker joining Chelsea”, said journalist Simon Phillips earlier this month”.

The feedback they have had is positive, with there being an understanding that Osimhen would be open to joining Chelsea. Behdad Eghbali has initiated this contact and now has good relations with Osimhen’s agent. Now, that doesn’t mean Chelsea are 100% signing Osimhen. And it doesn’t mean that he would also not be open to joining other clubs if they come in.

Because of this, Todd Boehly and the Blues may consider short-term fixes for the second half of the season. The team has reportedly offered for five forwards.

Roberto Firmino received a transfer offer from Chelsea

HITC reporter Graeme Bailey claims that Roberto Firmino, a striker for Al-Ahli, has been offered by Chelsea. Alongside former Fulham star Aleksandar Mitrovic, the former Liverpool striker is named. Chelsea is considering Saudi Arabia “because of the relationship between the club’s owners Clearlake and PIF who owns the four biggest clubs in the Pro League.”

It could be arguable that the Brazilian hasn’t exactly lit up the Saudi Pro League in his 19 appearances for Al-Ahli since joining, tallying three goals and three assists. He has enjoyed playing at Stamford Bridge in the past. And has won three times with the Reds in his eight years there. So, he might be open to returning to England.
