Chelsea is very unhappy with the Enzo Fernandez situation as they does not want to be link with the racist tag, so they are thinking of selling the argentinian midfielder in this summer transfer window.
But there are zero suggestions from any board member whether to sell the player or punish him. It is because they have already put the 23 year old argentinian midfielder in the transfer market but haven’t received any offer from for the player.
All of this is happening because of Enzo Fernandez own mistake, he went live on Instagram when he was in the Argentina’s team bus, where the whole Argentina team was celebrating as they just won the Copa America, on that live recording it was found that players where chanting a racist and discriminatory song about those French players who are black. Enzo was the player who seen signing the song along with his team-mates.

The Instagram live video was record and put online where it went viral specially for all the wrong reasons, as the Chelsea defender Wesley Fofana taking the video to the social media where he posted a part of the clip and wrote “football in 2024: uninhibited racism.” The comments from Fofana were also went viral and within few minutes it became a very big mess for Chelsea.
Enzo Fernandez the World Cup has ever since that video went viral, he has been apologising to his team mates and he also apologised to the fans in the public, on the other hand as soon as Chelsea found out about this situation, they issued the statement where they said that they are conducting their own internal investigation, and not just the Blues FIFA and UEFA are also conducting their own investigation about the video.
Chelsea a a lot players which are black and some of them are from France and the song that Enzo Fernandez was singing have offended all those players through his actions, not just that all the players showed that they were unhappy in their own way, where six Frenchman have unfollowed the Argentinian and Romeo Lavia has also unfollowed the player.
A lot of fans and some pundits have suggested that the Blues should sell the midfielder, but there is no indication that Chelsea interested in signing the player in this transfer window, he is an important part of the team and the Blues coach depend on the player as he is in the plans of the manager.
Chelsea will not going to sell the player
According to some reports, Chelsea would like to solve this issue within the club as they are in no mood to sell the player as he is very important for the team, the club would like take back the control of the dressing room which is currently very not good as players are not talking to Enzo and neither they are not ready to train with the player. Chelsea will most likely fine the player for signing the song and would also ask the player to talk part in an educational diversity training, this will help to resolve this issue.
Enzo Fernandez is currently on a vacation after winning the Copa America and haven’t seen since than at Chelsea, but he was see at his former club River Plate where he was parade on the pitch for winning the Copa America.
Chelsea’s manager Enzo Maresca’s management skills will be test after the arrival of Enzo Fernandez as the situation is currently bad at the dressing room and it will be difficult for Fernandez to fit back into the team and it will also be difficult for the manager to manage the team.
