Chelsea is desperate to sign a striker this season. Recent reports suggests that the Blues are scouting Irish striker Evan Ferguson. Within the club many admire the 19 year old striker. The Londoners have been busy this summer window with departures and arrivals. The young lad has scored 16 goals for Brighton in 65 appearances for the club. In case Chelsea fail to sign Victor Osimhen, the club intends to sign the Irishman instead. Since making his Brighton debut in 2022 he has established himself as first-team player in the Premier League.
Ferguson is deemed to become the next star player of the seagulls. He is 6ft tall and has a lot of pace to run in behind the defence. The young lad is the sixth youngest player to score a hattrick in the Premier league. He is a natural goal poacher with a predatory smell for goals. His finishing at this tender age is beyond amazing.
The 19 year old started his meteoric rise at Bohemian FC in Ireland. His impressive performances in the Irish league earned him a transfer to Brighton in the Premier league. Last season Arsenal and Manchester United approached him but his £100m valuation pushed them back.
The Blues set to sell yet another Cobham graduate!
Chelsea is set to sell centreback Trevor Chalobah by the end of deadline day. The West London club has put him on their transfer list along with striker Armando Broja. The club must sell players to free up wages and keep positive cash flow. Any dispute regarding financial fair play will land them in trouble. Mason Mount, Connor Gallagher, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Tammy Abraham are other academy stars who left Stamford Bridge earlier.
Chelsea did not take the defender to their USA pre season tour giving him a clear indication. He prefers staying this season and fight for his spot. However, he may leave if a club playing in a European competition approach him. Rivals Manchester United is interested in signing the £25m defender. He has been impressive for the Blues in the later half of the season last year.
He has rejected offers from Nottingham Forrest and Fulham because he wants to play European football. West Ham is also keeping tabs on the youngster. New manager Maresca prefers centre-backs Wesley Fofana, Alex Disasi and new signing Tosin Adarabioyo ahead of Chalobah. It is upto the player now to decide on his future.
Aston Villa interested in Chelsea flop
Aston Villa is interested to sign Romelu Lukaku. Unai Emery’s men have qualified for the Champions league. To improve their squad depth, Lukaku can be a decent pick. The Blues have been working on a swap deal with Napoli to sell the Belgian. Napoli boss Antonio Conte wants the 31 year old striker at any cost. Chelsea hope to strike a deal with Napoli and get Victor Osimhen.
Reports by Il Matino from CN24, says that the Belgian striker has agreed personal terms with Villa. Chelsea want to sell him as soon as possible. He is training seperately and is not a part of the pre season squad. Lukaku prefers joining Napoli to play under Conte but he is losing patience. He has also received offers from Saudi Arabia and UAE.
Chelsea has been trying to sell the Belgian since last two years. However, due to his high valuation there were no suitors. He was on loan at Inter and Roma. The Blues are now desperate to sell him permanently this season to free up his huge wages to accommodate new signings. He has failed to make his mark in Chelsea following his record £98m transfer from Inter. Chelsea will try to profit from his sale as much as they can at this moment.
