Chelsea lists three players for a contract extension

According to several reports, Chelsea are currently prioritizing offering new contracts to three stars in the team, as their contract ends soon. Chelsea will be negotiating new contracts with Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, and youngster Trevoh Chalobah. Rudiger and Christensen will be free agents next summer which Chelsea is currently trying to avoid. While Chalobah is seen as the future for the Blues as they want to tie down him in a long deal.

Antonio Rudiger joined Chelsea back in 2017 from AS Roma as a promising center-back and since then he 159 times for the Blues. In his five-year-long journey with Chelsea, Rudiger has lifted the Europa League and the FA Cup in 2018. While his recent achievements with the Blues are winning the Champions League and UEFA Super Cup.

But he has been linked with several rumors which leads him away from Chelsea as his contract ends next summer. Following which Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are keeping tabs on Rudiger’s future. However, as per the latest reports, Chelsea will be offering a new contract to the center-back in a few weeks. As Thomas Tuchel and the clubs see him as the key at the back for Chelsea in coming years.  

Andreas Christensen is a Chelsea academy player who has gone to appear 136 times for them. But his current contract ends next summer, and Chelsea working upon that are ready to table a contract extension. The Danish center-back is also an important member of the Tuchel plan.

Trevoh Chalobah just got his promotion to the first team under Thomas Tuchel and has shown some promising performances. Following which Chelsea wants to secure the youngster’s future at the club which currently ends in 2023. Chalobah will be contacted soon by the club tabling a long-term contract.

Chelsea’s contract plans include Mason Mount’s name

Apart from the three names that Chelsea have listed for extending contracts, the club has a plan to offer a new contract to Mason Mount. The 22-year-old got into the first team in 2019 after playing in the Chelsea academy and on loan to some other teams. To date, Mount has appeared 116 times for the Blues, scoring 17 goals in all competitions.

The youngster is considered an important part of Chelsea’s future and the club wants to extend his stay which currently ends in 2024. Until now there have been no formal talks held between both parties. But reports are clear about Chelsea being positive to retain Mount’s services.
