Chelsea might have finally found the replacement for ‘Eden Hazard’

Since the departure of Eden Hazard to Real Madrid in 2019, Chelsea have been on a search for a new talisman to lead the team forward. While several players have shown flashes of brilliance, the Blues have yet to find a player who can consistently produce the kind of magic that Hazard was known for.

However, the recent signing made by Chelsea suggest that they may have found their new Hazard in Mikhaylo Mudryk, a 22-year-old winger who joined the club in the winter transfer window from Ukrainian side FC Shakhtar Donetsk. Despite his young age and relative lack of experience, Mudryk has already shown glimpses of the kind of talent that could make him a star at Stamford Bridge.

Mudryk’s pace, dribbling ability, and eye for goal have drawn comparisons to Hazard, with some fans and pundits even calling him “the new Eden Hazard.” However, while the youngster’s potential is clear, there is still a lot of work to be done before he can reach the level of the Belgian superstar.

Gus Poyet went on to say this about the Ukrainian superstar,

“He’s the type of player that needs to make a difference, the job Mudryk will have in the future is what Eden Hazard did at Chelsea — he’s that type of player and the potential is there.”

Can Mudryk thrive in Chelsea?

In addition to Mudryk, Chelsea have several other promising young players. And so, Mudryk will have to fight against talented players like Noni Madueke, Christian Pulisic and Raheem Sterling for a place in the starting XI. One thing is for sure that it won’t be an easy task for the Ukrainian.

Overall, there is still a lot of work to do for the Blues to reach the heights of their past successes. With a talented young squad and a new manager set to take the reins, the future looks bright for Chelsea. But it will definitely take time, patience, and hard work to turn that potential into silverware.
