Chelsea: New Owners But Same Priority

Things aren’t going perfectly for Thomas Tuchel and Chelsea. As they find themselves strangely out of sorts from the last couple of months. Winning just 3 from the last 10 shows how bad the problems are with Tuchel’s side.

Injuries played a massive part in this menace, and the contract situation of some of their stars also has an unparallel effect.

The future of defending trio Azpilicueta, Christensen, and Rudiger is becoming uncertain with every passing day. Chelsea needs to settle down talks or they may leave for free coming this summer.

Can Chelsea Keep the Defending Trio?

Losing club captain Azpilicueta and his magnificent service over nine years it’ll be a shame to lose him to Barcelona. Christensen is also linked with Xavi’s Barcelona despite his enormous promise he’s not a first-team regular.

The case of Rudiger is different however, the potential replacement may likely cost over 60 million before wages.

Antonio Rudiger is set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer as big clubs are hopeful of signing the German. Declan Rice never too far away from being linked with a transfer to Stamford Bridge.

David Moyes has made it clear to anyone who is looking to sign Declan Rice this summer will have to pay 100 million pounds.

Redefining CDM role: Declan Rice

Moyes was clearly deliberating about the various ramifications of saying Rice is worth 100 million and it’s quite clear though based on his performance over the last two seasons. The 23-year-old has missed just 7 league games since the start of 2019-20, becoming an England regular and undeniable starter for west ham.

The fact that he is English and chased by the biggest English clubs it is very clear any move away from London Stadium Chelsea will have to break the British transfer record set by Jack Grealish.

West ham’s ride to the semis of the Europa League has been a joy for fans but the board must decide if they want more or just spoils of war.

The progress under Moyes deserves appreciation. The European campaign has provided supporters with some unforgettable yet irresistible moments. For the players, it was a valuable experience. But the hammers are losing their grip in the league and may miss out on European game time next season.
