According to the Chelsea Chronicle, Chelsea player Conor Gallagher can be offered a new contract by Chelsea despite transfer rumours. Last season Conor Gallagher was a regular starter under Mauricio Pochettino. The youngster also stepped up on numerous ocassions for the blues. Gallagher was also called up by Gareth Southgate for the Euro 24 campaign of England. He also made some appearances in the group stage of the tournament. Football fans all around the world still cannot understand why Chelsea wants to sell such an impressive player. It is reported that Chelsea have still not offered Gallagher a new contract extension. It is also reported that Chelsea are in the market looking for options in the midfield. Conor Gallagher is linked with a move to the Spanish giants Atletico Madrid. Many fans believe he will be a decent player under Diego Simeone. However Chelsea will give last chance to him.

Chelsea and their new manager Enzo Maresca will need to take care of many things before the start of new season. They will also need to learn from their previous mistakes. Chelsea in earlier season used to sign many young players as a future investment. This is some good thinking however most young players were unable to find their form with the club. It also become difficult for the manager to integrate all the players together. There was also the problems of injuries in the squad. Majority of signings like Christopher Nkunku and their former captain Reece James were injured for majority of season. Just like other big clubs in Premier League Chelsea also suffered many injuries. However they were not able to adapt to the situation well. Due to injuries the starting lineup and the tactics keep changing in every match.

Pochettino prefer to start the English youngster in many games throughout the season and the youngster always perform. Pochettino made him pair up with many players last season like Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo. Chelsea have reportedly offered him a new contract this summer. The Blues want to avoid Antonio Rudiger situation as letting the defender leave for free. In case Conor Gallagher stays with Chelsea for some more time. Other young players like Romeo Lavia can struggle with game time. Currently nothing is official on his situation regarding his stay.
