Chelsea kept pushing hard to sign more young talents in this summer transfer window. And they have just completed the move of young Argentinian defender Aaron Anselmino from Argentinian side Boca Juniors. Anselmino joined the Blues on a seven-year contract with a transfer fee of around 17M. Since the takeover of Chelsea Football Club in 2022, the board has always brought in some of the best young talents. And Aaron Anselmino’s talent did not go unnoticed.
Aaron Anselmino to Chelsea
Over the years, the club produced some of the best talents before selling them to big European clubs. Boca Juniors is known for its youth development. Aaron Anselmino is the latest in that long list. The 19-year-old signed his senior contract with the club in 2023 and made his senior team debut in the same year. Till now the 19-year-old made 10 appearances for Boca Juniors but his performance is just different and that catches the attention of big European giants.
Though Aaron Anselmino signed a new contract with Boca Juniors at the start of this year, he prefers Chelsea as his next home. Chelsea accepted the loan-back option and sent the player to Boca Juniors on a loan spell for his development. So, the 19-year-old will be available for Premier League football from the next season. Aaron Anselmino is very delighted with his new move and hopes that he will be able to give his best performance when he arrives the Stamford Bridge. Chelsea will keep monitoring his development. So, all the Chelsea fans have to wait right now to see the 19-year-old Argentinian at Stamford Bridge.
Aron Anselmino is the fourth defender that the Blues signed this summer. Before this Enzo Maresca’s had side already brought in three new faces for the defensive area, Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham, Renato Veiga from Basel, and Caleb Wiley from Atlanta United. Till now, the Blues have spent more than 150M in this transfer market including the free transfer of Tosin Adarabioyo. New boss Enzo Maresca still making moves to improve the squad depth and trying to build a perfect squad according to his needs.

Chelsea have no intention of stopping in the summer transfer window. The Club is now very close to signing a new striker, Samuel Omorodion from Atletico Madrid. Chelsea are suffering in the final third in the last season and recent pre-season campaign. So, the club is looking for a proper number nine before the start of the season. Chelsea in the past were heavily linked with Napoli’s number nine Victor Osimhen, but the deal never happened. This season is also the same, as the Blues keep the door open for Osimhen but still no final decision has been made.
While making new purchases, the club is also selling home-grown players to generate money. Lewis Hall and Ian Maatsen left the club and joined Newcastle and Aston Villa respectively. About 90M was generated from these two deals. Another home-grown player, Conor Gallagher is also on his way to leaving the club and could join Spanish side Atletico Madrid.

Enzo Maresca will lead the team for their last Pre-season friendlies this Sunday, before meeting the current Community Shield holder and defending Premier League champion Manchester City. Enzo Maresca was a member of the first-team staff of Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City. Both the manager knows each other well. But it will be a tough job for Maresca when the Blues will face City, as Chelsea only managed to secure one win in their last five outings. However, Chelsea fans are optimistic about the new journey under Enzo Maresca.
