Chelsea have a huge squad right now, full of young talents in every position. In the last three transfer window, the Blues spent money like nothing and signed some of the best talents around the world to boss the squad. In order to do this, some young players might lose their chance to showcase their talent and rather be sent on a loan move by the Blues. Chelsea have been doing this strategy for the time being now. After signing a young player, rather than giving the player time in the main Chelsea squad, the Blues sent those players on loan.
Following confirmation by their new manager Enzo Maresca that they will not receive enough playing time under the new system, Chelsea has decided not to release some of the high-profile players during the summer transfer window. In the summer, players including Kepa, Romelu Lukaku, and Sterling left the team on loan or permanently. The Blues are signing players like nothing, on the one hand. Chelsea, on the other hand, is ignoring the team’s youthful talent.
Chelsea should consider Harvey Vale for the first-team squad
Harvey Vale, a 21-year-old Englishman, is among the players. Harvey Vale ought to be given a chance in Enzo Maresca’s starting lineup, according to some Chelsea employees. But the 21-year-old still doesn’t have lunch. Vale made 47 appearances for the League One team while on loan at Bristol Rovers during the previous season.
Are the Blues neglecting too many young talents available in the club?
Since BlueCo acquired the team in 2022, Chelsea has undoubtedly acquired some of the top young players. For instance, Noni Madueke, Enzo Maresca, Moises Caicedo, Cole Palmer, and others. Nevertheless, despite having the ability to perform, certain academy players, like Harvey Vale, may not get the opportunity to do so under these well-known names.
Take the example of Josh Acheampong, who made his Chelsea debut at the end of the last season after coming on as a substitute against Newcastle United in the Premier League. The 18-year-old right back is one of the most exciting players. However, Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca still not giving his much playing time. Josh Acheampong did make an appearance this season after coming on as a sub against Barrow in the Carabao Cup. But for the proper growth of Josh Acheampong, Chelsea needs to give more time to the 18-year-old.

All the Chelsea fans were delighted to see the comeback of their captain Reece James in the match against Liverpool. However, his return did not help the Blues, as Enzo Maresca’s men lost to Liverpool by 2-1. Despite the losing of the match, after the match Chelsea captain Reece James praised the performance of his team. Chelsea are currently sitting in the sixth position in the Premier League with 14 points in eight matches. No doubt that the new Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca improved the situation of the club from last season. However, lots of improvements need to be made in the future.
