Chelsea star returns to training from injury after missing the World Cup

Chelsea are in Abu Dhabi for a training camp, where right-back Reece James has returned to light team training. Jame suffered an injury before the world and it turned out to be an injury that kept him out of the World Cup. The right-back remained at Chelsea’s Cobham training base. Now he has joined the team training in Abu Dhabi to continue his recovery.

Reece James returns for Chelsea training

Chelsea has confirmed that James did some light training sessions with the team that featured stretching, jogging, and a series of games. Series of games basically were to keep the legs moving after a long 7 hours flight from London.

James is expected to return for competitive action for Chelsea, when Premiere League resumes and is set to take on Bournemouth on 27 December.

With James in Abu Dhabi, his fellow stars Wesley Fofana and N’Golo Kante also joined him who are currently behind in their return from the injury.

Carney Chukwuemeka also joined Ruben Loftus Cheek who couldn’t get involved in the training session on Monday as he recovers from a knock.
