Chelsea still needs to wait for N’golo Kante return

Fans at Stamford Bridge still need to be patient, as N’golo Kante will miss three more matches before his potential return.

The 31-year-old hasn’t played since August due to a serious hamstring injury. The blues have struggled without the enigmatic midfielder and hoping that he would return to Stamford Bridge very soon.

Apparently, Football London claimed that Chelsea are growing confident over Kante’s new contract with his current deal expiring this summer.

N’golo Kante is termed as one of the best holding midfielders in the world and Chelsea are unlikely to leave the Former World cup Winner on a free transfer, next season.

KANTE’S POSSIBLE RETURN DATE

As per Football London reports, Kante may return against Tottenham on 26th February, if everything goes positive with his rehabilitation process.

Chelsea’s current boss gave an update about the Frenchman —

“He’s a while. He’ll be end of February, or the start of March.”

Kante now doing individual training at Cobham since the end of last week, as he will soon join his teammates. Chelsea are not rushing with his recovery and Graham Potter insists on giving him more time.

But, if he fails to return against Tottenham, this month, then he is likely to miss at least three more matches which include a Champions League tie against Dortmund.

Chelsea are struggling this season and will like to finish in the top four for a Champions League spot. Kante returning from injury can be crucial for the Blues as they will like his influential presence at the middle of the pitch.

Though, Enzo Fernandez has been signed by Benfica FC has provided them with the much-needed boost for the rest of the season.
