Chelsea are reportedly planning to move for Erling Haaland. Despite spending a club record £97.5m to re-sign Romelu Lukaku during the recent transfer window.

The Blues brought Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge from Inter Milan. Initially he joined Chelsea in a transfer worth £10 million (€12 million). But limited playing time resulted in loans to West Bromwich Albion and Everton. In 2014, Lukaku signed with Everton in a then club-record transfer worth £28 million (€32 million). Going onto finish as the league’s second-top goalscorer.

The Belgium international has scored four times in six appearances for Thomas Tuchel’s side this term. According to reports Chelsea are keen to sign ‘a strike partner’ for Lukaku.

although the European champions will have to sell at least one attacker in order to boost their forward options. Dortmund are keen on Timo Werner as they look set to lose Erling Haaland in the next summer transfer window.

Kai Havertz and Mason Mount have largely played in support of the Belgian this season. But an injury to the latter allowed Timo Werner to start Saturday’s Premier League clash with Manchester City.
