According to the Chelsea News, Chelsea targets winger in the summer transfer window. Chelsea will be trying to rebuild their squad this summer under their new manager Enzo Maresca. After finishing at the sixth place in the Premier League table last season. With no European football, Chelsea will be expected to do better this season. Chelsea decided to sack their manager Mauricio Pochettino on a short notice at the end of the season. This was a very shocking move by Chelsea as Pochettino was finally getting his tactics right with the squad. Chelsea suffered a lot of problems this season due to various factors. The first reason is signing too many players which becomes difficult for the manager to integrate in the squad. Chelsea signed many talented youngsters who are waiting for the chance to prove themselves. Players like Romeo Lavia are yet to play in Premier League.
Coming to the other problems most of the signings done by Chelsea were not able to adapt to English football. Many players took a lot of time before finding their form in English football. Players like Moises Caicedo , Conor Gallagher , Christopher Nkunku took a long time before they got their role in the team. Another problem that hit many of the big club in Premier League is the injuries problem. Chelsea was also hit by injuries by there were unable to deal with the problem correctly. For instance in the North London derby match against Tottenham, Chelsea had only 14 first team players in the squad. Due to these injury problems Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino was unable to field a consistent starting eleven for the majority of the season. This was difficult for both the players and the manager due to the changing formations and tactics all season.
Rebuild starts after Chelsea targets winger
Last season even after all these injury problems Chelsea were pretty good in the attack. It was thanks to the heroics of Cole Palmer that Chelsea managed to remain competitive majority of league. Chelsea will hope for Cole Palmer to keep up his last season form this season as well. After a disappointing Euro 24 campaign under Gareth Southgate getting very less playtime. Palmer got very few chances in the Euro 24 tenure with English team however he impressed coming on as a sub. Christopher Nkuku who was a big signing for Chelsea was also injury after an impressive pre season.
Chelsea are targeting young Gremio talent Gabriel Mec. It’s clear Enzo Maresca will try to make the signings for the future as well as rebuild the squad. Mec is a top talent and just 16 year old he has a lot of potential. Chelsea squad is now full of youngsters for the next season. It is up to the manager to find proper ways that help grow these young players. Chelsea may also sell some players like Conor Gallagher. Chelsea and it’s players surely have a bright future ahead of them. The club will do everything to get back to it’s glory days.
