Chelsea is interested in re-signing their former player Eden Hazard from Real Madrid. He had been struggling in Madrid and a move back to Premier League looks imminent after two years at Los Blancos.

Hazard has been a Chelsea legend and he might be thinking about finishing his career at the club that gave him everything. Even Blues coach Thomas Tuchel is a big admirer of the Belgian international.

Real Madrid would reportedly be offloading most of their current players due to their current financial situation. As his contract would expire only in 2024, the Spanish club would like to earn some money for improving their financial situation.

A Chelsea Reunion looks highly likely for Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard joined Real Madrid in 2019 but was unable to make an impact for the two years so far. His season was dominated by injuries and fitness concerns and consequently, lack of playing time. Only trophy he had won at the club is the La Liga in the 2019-20 season.

He even missed a big chance as the Galacticos were humbled by the Pensioners in the 2nd leg of Champions League semi-finals this season. Additionally, a controversial laugh with his former teammates angered the supporters of the La Liga club.

According to El Chiringuito TV, an exit from the club looks most likely. Thus, a reunion with his former club would be possible. However, he might not be guaranteed a lot of playing time. Thomas Tuchel admires him.

“So consistent. I have the biggest respect for him. He is a big player, we have many people here who know him well.”

The 30-year-old midfielder had a terrible season as his club was trophyless. Thus, it would be a wiser option to join Chelsea as they are currently in the Champions League final.
