Chelsea are reported to hold talks with England’s midfield duo Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham. Chelsea owner Boehly is reportedly keeping an eye on these England players this World Cup. Rice and Bellingham had formed a formidable midfield duo in first England’s match against Iran. Although both of them play in two different roles in the midfield, with one playing in the deep and another given the free role of being wherever needed.
England duo have garnered Chelsea’s attention
The 19- year old started his first-ever World Cup match for England. He was unbelievably good and covered the pitch with such confidence and grace which had many football pundits impressed. Though Bellingham would be thankful for his midfield partner Declan Rice for allowing him the freedom to move forward. Had Rice not been sitting deep and doing work of creating and diminishing the threats, Dortmund’s player would not have been able to move freely on the pitch. The duo combined brilliantly for this match. According to Telegraph, Todd Boehly is planning to hold talks with the midfield duo.
Gareth Southgate would be pleased to see the duo work wonderfully on the pitch and would hope for it to continue. The Chelsea owner and manager would also hope for the same but for the Blues. Rice and Bellingham look like an important part of the future project that the club is planning.
