Chelsea have been reported to be interested in the AC Milan striker Rafael Leao and are said to follow him keenly at the World Cup. According to a journalist they are said to keep a close eye on the young player at the World Cup. The Portuguese player is one of in form striker at the moment in Europe. Leao’s contract is expected to expire in 2024, which has the Italian team scrambling to make him extend his contract. There seems to be a struggle to convince the player to stay therefore AC Milan is said to be open to offers about this player.

The Blues have recently shown interest in the Portuguese player and are confident in striking a good deal to bring the 23- year old player into the Premier League. While speaking to GiveMeSport, O’Rourke suggested that Chelsea would be keeping an eye on the player who have been called up for the Portugal team this World Cup. The journalist commented,

“I’m sure they’ll be keeping a close eye on him during the World Cup, and if he does really well for Portugal, Chelsea will be very keen to bring him to Stamford Bridge.”

He further commented,

“But on the flip side of that, it will probably only increase his price tag as well if he does have a good World Cup with Portugal.”
