The UEFA Champions League winners will clash with the UEFA Europa League winners as Chelsea takes on Villarreal on Wednesday night at Windsor Park.

Thomas Tuchel won the UEFA Champions League with Chelsea last season. Chelsea was struggling to find their winning form and decided to part ways with club legend Frank Lampard. PSG had recently sacked their manager Tuchel and Chelsea seized the opportunity and bought him to Stamford Bridge. Tuchel having lost the Champions League final against Bayern the previous season made sure that he gets the job done this time. Now, Chelsea will face Villarreal in the UEFA Super Cup.

Villarreal beat Manchester United in the Europa League final to win the Europa League. The game went to penalties and after 21 spot-kicks Villarreal emerged victorious. Now, Chelsea and Villarreal will go head to head for Super Cup glory. Ahead of this fixture, both teams have been involved in Pre-Season. Chelsea have been in top form winning 5 of their 6 games. Meanwhile, Villarreal have had a horrible Pre-Season. Unai Emery’s side failed to win even a single game of their Pre-season campgain. This makes Chelsea strong favorites to win the final.

Chelsea vs Villarreal Team News:

Mason Mount, Ben Chilwell, Reece James, and Jorginho will all feature for The Blues. Meanwhile, Unai Emery believes that this would weaken Chelsea as none of the players have featured in the pre-season.
