Christian Eriksen Update: Bad News For Man United

tennis player

Christian Eriksen has reportedly ruled out a move to Manchester United. Apparently, the midfielder prefers to stay in London. This makes Brentford and Tottenham Hotspur his two remaining options.

The Dane enjoyed some of the best years of his career at White Hart Lane. He moved to Spurs in 2013 from Ajax. He left an impact in the Premier League, becoming one of the best playmakers in the division. Eriksen was a part of the energetic Pochetino years at North London. The front four of him, Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min and Dele Alli was a treat to watch.

He left them in January 2020 for a new challenge in Inter Milan. Antonio Conte played him in a deeper role, winning the Serie A in 2021. Now a possibility has emerged to reunite with his former manager at his former club. Tottenham are apparently interested in bringing him back to N17.

Other Options For Eriksen

They will face competition from fellow Londoners, Brentford though. The Bees took a big step when they signed him on a 6-month deal. He had recently suffered a tragic cardiac arrest at the Euros and had to terminate his contract with Inter Milan. Brentford took the risk, and it paid off. Perhaps, Eriksen may be thankful to them and reciprocate the gesture by extending with them.

Manchester United are another option. But Eriksen prefers staying in London, so this may not be good news for the Red Devils. The absence of Champions League football may be another deterrent. Eriksen has been diplomatic though, and not ruled out any possibility

You are not in control of it yourself. I have to make the best decision and not rush anything through. My phone stays on, but I also know my agent well enough to know that he only calls if there’s something exciting.

It was a great sight for any fan to see Christian Eriksen back in action. They would love it to continue, be it at any of the above clubs.
