Cole Palmer ‘robbed’ again as Chris Wood creates history?

Cole Palmer and Chelsea find themself in a tough situation yet again. Chris Wood won the Premier League Player of the Month with Nottingham Forest. The 22-year-old Englishman had the chance to create history. He could have become the first ever player for the Blues to win the award in consecutive months. Instead, he ended up falling short. At the same time, the Kiwi ended up creating history for himself and his side. Many already feel that the Chelsea star was quite unlucky against Man Utd. Lisandro Martinez would challenge him with a horrifying tackle. Although he did not see red even after VAR did intervene. Meanwhile, the 22-year-old is now still in doubt for the upcoming Arsenal game.

Did the Premier League overlook Cole Palmer and Chelsea again?

Many fans do feel that he has been wronged. The Englishman was great no doubt. But, statistically speaking, he was not the best. As per transfermarkt, he only managed to score once and provide 1 assist in the month of October. So that did not really help his case in winning the award. Chris Wood had better figures with Nottingham Forest for the month. He managed to score 4 times in 3 games in the same duration. So he did deserve to win after all.

Chris Wood rewrites history…

As per bbc, the striker became the first player from New Zealand to win the Award. At the same time, Chris Wood also became the first Nottingham Forest player to receive the honor. It is a huge win for him as an individual and for the team too. Meanwhile, Cole Palmer will be hoping to return back strong with Chelsea. He will be aiming to win the Player of the Season this time. It will be interesting to see if he is able to secure the award.
