Why did Cole Palmer name Virgil van Dijk?

As per sportskeeda, the 22-year-old has faced him 5 times. But, he has only managed to win twice. Even then, he has not won against the Liverpool captain while playing for Chelsea. Cole Palmer was right to name Virgil van Dijk. The center-back would play a key role in the Reds’ UCL winning season. Players had a hard time dribbling past him. At the same time, he would come very close to winning the Ballon d’or 2019. Also, his aerial abilities make him even more dangerous. He always poses a threat from set-pieces.

What’s next for the Liverpool star?

Coach Arne Slot is also in awe of the Liverpool captain. His contract may be expiring soon. But, talks of an extension are already underway. Fans will be hoping to see him play for the Reds for the foreseeable future. Meanwhile Cole Palmer will be willing to get the better of Virgil van Dijk in Chelsea colors. Their recent meeting would go Liverpool’s way in the form of a narrow win. The 22-year-old will be keen for a revenge in the reverse fixture. Quite easily, it would be the game to watch and a duel to keep an eye on.
