Juventus have quoted their price for Ronaldo as Manchester City are yet to put forth a formal offer for the forward.

Cristiano Ronaldo has very much been in the news recently amid growing speculation he could leave Juventus. Manchester City appear to be leading the race for the Portugal international’s signature.

However, a number of clubs, including his former club Manchester United, are keeping an eye on the situation.

Citizen or Red Devil?

Ronaldo is desperate to leave Turin this summer, and Manchester City have been strongly linked with a move. The Citizens currently explore alternatives to Harry Kane, who will be staying at Spurs for the time being.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes has his eyes peeled for potential destinations for his client. Juventus appear prepared to sell for nothing less than £22,000,000.

The veteran’s contract runs out next summer. Juventus want to sell him to save on the £500,000-a-week wages plus tax.

Manchester United did show interest in signing their former star, but lag in the race. Solskjaer is a big fan of his former teammate and has quoted: “You’d take him in your team, for sure. I played with Cristiano and he’s been the best player in the world alongside [Lionel] Messi for the past 10 to 15 years now.

Prior to landing Sancho, the Red Devils had reportedly put forward a contract offer for Ronaldo. The contract ran for two years with his wages being £330,000 per week. In the end, United turned their attention to Sancho and snapped up the youngster for £73,000,000 from Borussia Dortmund instead.

Ronaldo has netted 101 times in 134 appearances for the Old Lady. His contract is due to expire next June and he is seemingly pushing for an exit.
