Daniel Ricciardo has indicated that there are chances that we may not see him on the grid for the 2023 Formula 1 season.

Ricciardo was axed from McLaren after a series of disappointing races with the team. The 33-year-old is yet to find a seat for the 2023 season.

Daniel Ricciardo is going to be replaced by his Australian counterpart Oscar Piastri in 2023.

Nevertheless, Ricciardo has been linked with multiple teams ever since the start of the Alpine-Piastri-McLaren-Ricciardo drama.

Of course, he is linked with multiple teams but till now he does not seem even close to signing a deal with any team.

Speaking after the Italian Grand Prix where the Aussie suffered a late mechanical issue ending his rather decent going race, he said:

“I’ve certainly accepted that if I’m not to be on the grid next year, I’m okay with that.

“I’ve accepted that I’m not going to do everything, or my team’s not going to do everything. Just to put me on the grid if it’s not right or it doesn’t make sense.

“Obviously this year’s been challenging and if I am on the grid I want to know that it’s a place that I can enjoy it and feel like I can thrive. I don’t want to just jump into a car for the sake of it.”

The 8-time race winner was all set to secure points after a long wait this season at Italian GP.

Ricciardo was also linked with a possible position as a reserve driver in Mercedes. His move to Alpine or Haas was also rumored.

Nevertheless, Ricciardo needs a break to forget about these tough years with orange papaya.

The honey badger needs a car that can suit his driving style best for 2023.
