The Aussie batter David Warner wrote a sweet note for the people of Lanka. As the Lankan face their worst crisis. In the note, Warner thanked the audience who turned out in huge numbers for two months-long tour.
Sri Lanka is currently facing something very big situation. The country is facing a huge shortage of fuel, basic items, and meds. The batter on Monday after the match posted on Instagram to thank the audience. Warner being an absolute gentleman wrote

You have opened your arms up to us and we will never forget this trip. What I love about your amazing country is no matter the circumstances you always have a smile on your face and are always so welcoming. Thank you and I can’t wait to one day visit for a holiday with my family,”
The Aussie has now concluded the series against the Sri Lankans after a long tour. The tour consisted of 3 T20I, 5 ODI, and 2 tests. The visiting team seized the T20I with 2-1. Whereas, the Hosts defeated the kangaroos 3-2. Furthermore, the test series is being shared between both teams. The visitors after crushing the hosts in the T20 series, were shocked when the inexperienced Lanka defeated the full-fledged Aussie camp. If take a look at the test defeat that the Aussies had, the newly added spinners Prabhath Jayasuriya and Chandimal proved to be the key to this win for the hosts. In addition to them, Theekshana as expected from the bowler performed the way he was supposed to. The all-around performance from the hosts easily registered the win and added the much-needed confidence as well as points required for WTC.
