Chennai Super Kings’ pacer, Deepak Chahar has recently talked about the financial security of today’s players.

In a chat show, Chahar revealed that today’s youngsters are much safer financially because they get paid well in the IPL.

This year, we have seen two rags-to-riches stories in Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rinku Singh who proved their mettle this season.

Thus, while the IPL has made cricketers financially stable, it has also provided them the confidence of playing on the international stage.

Meanwhile, Chahar also gave the examples of Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav who now play big shots because of the financial stability that IPL gives them.

What IPL has given to Indian cricket team and players..means a lot. First of all, it’s a good platform. You are playing in front of the audience for the first time. The pressure of playing in front of 40000-50000 people. Not everyone can handle everything. One witnesses that in IPL. The one who is playing in the IPL is aware of the pressure you’ll have while playing for India. In fact, you will feel motivated there because you are playing for the country.

Chahar speaks in depth about the financial security side of the IPL

Adding further, he says,

Also, you don’t have financial crisis. Today, youngsters don’t face any financial crisis before playing for India. They are already well-paid in the IPL. That’s why players like Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar (Yadav) can hit a six in the very first ball in international cricket. Or else, no one would have dared to hit a six on the very first ball. They think that ‘one ball is nothing, I have talent, I can earn money.’

Furthermore, Chahar has been an important cog for CSK this season as he has already picked up 12 wickets in 9 games.

Therefore, if he can bowl well in today’s final, then CSK will equal MI’s record of 5 IPL titles as well.
