Diaz is still unfit and will be absent against Chelsea

Luis Diaz is yet to regain his full fitness and will be absent against Chelsea. The 26-year old suffered knee injury in October, last year.

Liverpool announced on their official website that Diaz won’t travel with the squad for their massive clash against the Blues on Wednesday. Diaz returned to training over the international break after being out for six months, but won’t be fit enough to face to Chelsea at Stanford Bridge.

Liverpool have felt the wingers absence this season. Reds are going through a torrid season and hence, wait for Diaz will be extended after the latest update. However, he will be fully recovered to face league leaders Arsenal on Sunday. He will feature in the bench for Reds against Mikel Arteta’s side this weekend.

Liverpool is playing it safe by keeping Diaz away from the squad as rushing a player back from injury can be hazardous. However, the Columbian international will have a huge task of facing Arsenal on the weekend.

Diaz is a sort of player who can trouble Arsenal with his speed down the left flank of the pitch. Therefore, he won’t feature against Chelsea , but will be eager to make his return to the matchday squad.

Klopp’s side will look to finish in top-four for Champions League football next season. Their current form looks shambolic and Reds will like to re-group their plans to end the season on a high note. Diaz is likely play an important part for rest of the season for Liverpool.
