Donny Van de Beek no longer wants to play at Manchester United

Manchester United midfielder Donny Van de Beek is said to have offered himself to Roma of Italy.

A probable move from Old Trafford is speculated in the coming weeks.

The Dutchman did not have a great time at the Red Devils. He failed to make an impact on the team and then found himself on the substitute bench for long spells.

He arrived from Ajax back in 2020. He was bought by United for £35million when Ole Gunnar Solskaer was the head coach.

After a disappointing two years at Old Trafford, he was sent out on loan to Everton in the latter half of this season.

However, there also he could not earn the faith of Frank Lampard. He only played seven games at the Merseyside club. After which he again came back to United under Ten Hag.

Ten Hag has already begun his work at United because of the makeover project that he said to initiate at the club.

However, the 25-year-old was said to be part of Ten Hag’s plans at United.

Van de Beek was part of Ten Hag’s setup that reached the semifinal of the Champions League back in 2019.

However, despite the reunion, the Dutch midfielder is seeking a move out of Old Trafford in the coming months.

A report from Corriere della Sera states that Van de Beek wants to move to Serie A side Roma this summer.

Moreover, to force a move to the Italian side, he has already offered himself to the club.

How will Ten Hag arrange his midfield this summer at Manchester United?

With many known faces moving out of midfield this summer, Ten Hag is desperate to make a few important signings to fill up that space.

Midfield has been a problem for United for some years now. Though some big names were playing at that position, none of them could walk the talk.

Therefore, in recent weeks the likes of Frenkie De Jong and Ruben Neves have been doing the rounds.
