Edgbaston to employ crowd spotters for the second T20I between England and India

Edgbaston, Six Sports

Before the start of the 2nd T20I between England and India tomorrow, the ECB has come up with something unique.

A team of football-style crowd spotters will be overlooking the various sections of the stadium.

This measure comes after the 5th Test between India and England.

ECB has given the freedom to fans to use the Edgbaston app to complain of any grievances.

The racial feud was happening at the Eric Hollies stand.

Stuart Cain, Warwickshire’s Chief Executive said that Edgbaston and the ECB will not be tolerating any form of racial abuse.

If anyone does any criminal activity against the sport of cricket or fans, then the offender will be removed from the venue.

Additionally, the offender will not be allowed to enter Edgbaston or any other venue under the ECB’s jurisdiction in the future.

Edgbaston is seeing a very busy week as it is hosting the 2nd T20I after which it will be used for the Vitality Blast Finals Day and then finish off with the Women’s T20 Competition.

Edgbaston’s security team, G4S is investigating further the matter of Monday’s events.
