Arsenal number 10 Emile Smith Rowe struggled for opportunities at Arteta’s team over the last two seasons. Staying at Arsenal this season does him no favour this summer, with so many clubs interested in him. A loan move is the best chance for the Hale End graduate to revive his career halted by injuries. As he turns 24 soon, a loan deal away from the Emirates would be best for both parties. Despite his recent form, the 23-year old will have plenty of options to choose from if he decides to move. Smith Rowe’s contract runs till 2026 and there have been no talks of renewal. Under Mikel Arteta, he broke into the scene and established himself as a prominent future star, instantly becoming a fan favourite. The youngster has a lot of creativity, workrate and winning mentality. Intelligent positioning and possesses good dribbling along with defensive workrate.
Arsenal ready to let go of Emile Smith Rowe: Fans are emotional
The Gunners want to win the league this season and are keen to improve their team. Emile Smith Rowe who has a backup role now at Arsenal is considering to leave on loan. Arsenal on the other hand, feel they have to move on from him and sign someone else as a replacement. Arsenal know that many clubs in the Premier league including their London rivals West Ham and Fulham are interested in him. They see this as a potential chance to free up their wage bill and also cash in keeping positive cash flow at the club. Smith Rowe is not considering to leave Arsenal on a permanent basis as he loves this club. It’s upto the board and player representatives now to discuss the proceedings. Bids for the player have already started to land at the Emirates. They rejected a bid of £30m from Aston Villa last season.
Arsenal fans had huge hopes for him to succeed as they saw Jack Wilshere in him. If a transfer takes place I can bet it will be emotional for both the player and the fans. Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has advised Emile Smith Rowe to leave Arsenal and seek more playing time somwhere else, as it is a crucial time in his career. Parlour was also a Hale End graduate and knows what it takes to make it at Arsenal. Speaking to InstantCasino, he advised the young lad. He says;
“Smith Rowe might come to a stage in his career, and say, ‘look I need to play. I need to play on a regular basis now. I’m getting that little bit older. I’m going to regret it if I don’t play on a regular basis’.think Mikel Arteta has been there as a footballer himself. If he doesn’t stand in his way, then Arsenal will try and do a deal and get the most money they can for him. It’s frustrating for players, it really is. Sitting on that sideline, not playing on a regular basis, in this day and age you need 26 in the squad.”
