Emile Smith Rowe is set to miss the Arsenal match against West Ham due to injury concerns. Arsenal are having an unlucky run with injuries this season. They are having a bit of bad luck with the selection of the team ahead of their London derby. Arsenal start the second half of their Premier League campaign. The chance to be 8 points off Manchester City at the top of the league table. Arsenal are already struggling with the injury of Gabriel Jesus, and now the rumors suggest that they might have another injury on their hands. It has been said that Emile Smith Rowe is not 100% fit to start in the match. Fans have been expecting to see the youngster in the match. Though it is true that one can’t rush their healing but fans were expecting to see Emile Smith Rowe perform after the World Cup.

According to James Benge, Mikel Arteta is not likely to play Smith Rowe for their game against West Ham. As the manager is not 100% convinced of Emile Smith Rowe’s fitness. There have not been any added setbacks for the player. James Benge posted on his Twitter handle,

“I’m told that the Boxing Day clash with West Ham is likely to come too soon for Emile Smith Rowe. There’s not setbacks or anything similar. Arsenal and player are just taking their time to make sure he is 100 percent ready on his return.”

Though this news have frustrated the Gunners fans. They were excited to see Smith Rowe after the World Cup break. Fans wish to see the Arsenal youngster play week in and out. Furthermore, this could be counted as a compliment to the Englishman.

As his work on the ball and off the ball is a delight to watch for the fans. Moreover, he paces with drive and purpose with the ball. Emile Smith Rowe have been really unfortunate with injuries. He even missed more than half of the Premier League matches this season. Though he might miss the West Ham game, it is not a big setback for Arsenal. As the player most likely would have operated from the bench.
