After a very sad and humiliating defeat against the proteas in the first test match. England is now looking forward to at least leveling the series. However, Proteas with their amazing performance are looking to make a series win and crush the buzzball theory. A high-spirited England team will now be looking to redeem themselves in Old Trafford at Manchester. The England team announced their playing 11 a day before they play the 2nd Test match on the 25th of August. Although, The Queen’s men have made only one change in the playing 11 from the last match.
Although, almost all the players who made appearances in the first game are included. However, the only change that has been done is the addition of tall pace bowler Ollie Robbinson. Ollie comes and is replacing Matthew Potts. The pace duo, James Anderson and Stuart Broad will take care of the fast bowling attack. While Jack Leach will be heading the spin compartment. Alex Lees along with Zack Crawly would be starting the batting innings. This duo is expected to play a crucial role for the English men. Joe Root who had a really bad match last time is expected to be back in running ways. Jonny Bairstow along with Ben Stokes would be expected to show the top performance that they’ve been giving since the beginning of English Summer.
South Africa’s redemption
After playing some best cricket against the top of the England team the Proteas would definitely want to continue the winning streak. After the performance in the last game, Dean Elgar’s South African team had put an end to the Bazzball dominance that grabbed the most eyeballs in the last few months.
