England are through to the final of Euro 2024 because of a late goal scored by Ollie Watkins in the semi final against Netherlands.
England will now play against Spain in the final of Euro 2024 after their win against Netherlands, Xavi Simons scored the first goals in the semi final but the lead against England was cancelled by the penalty scored by Harry kane in the first half. Both team scored each one goal.
In the last minute of the game Ollie Watkins scored a beautiful banger and took England to the victory path and in the finals of the Euro. They won the game with a score of 2-1.
England is becoming a consistent team in the Euros
In the last two Euro, England have reached the final of the European Championships, it is the first time they have reached in the final of Euros on foreign soil. This year they have the chance to win the Euros and correct the things that they did wrong in the last Euro final.
Cole Palmer was the player who gave a brilliant pass to Watkins and Watkins converted that pass into a goal, the goal which lead England to the final of Euros 2024. Palmer also took some amazing shots, but were unable to convert them into a goal.
The english were looking very strong in the first half of the game because of Phil Foden and Kobbie Mainoo, Phil Foden created many chances and also took some shorts, it was looking as he can score many goals but he was denied by the Dutch goalkeeper and the defenders.
They had come from the behind for the third time to win the match in the Knockout stages as well. A masterpiece goal from Xavi Simons put the English behind in the game, the goal came after the Declan Rice picked his own pocket.
England dominated the whole game to beat Netherlands
England scored the equaliser eleven minutes later after a controversial circumstances, Harry Kane took a Whack to his right foot from Denzel Dumfries as he shot at goal, the referee went to the pitchside to see what happened in the game in the monitor by VAR.
The English captain after the game told in the interview that his foot was hanging off in the air so he did really catch me. There are situations where we might have got them, and sometimes none of does do. He also said, he is happy to be in the final and ready to play the final now.
After England scored the goal in the first half, they dominated the rest of the first half, Foden created many chances and went close two time to score the goal before Dumfries cleaning off the line before they get another chance to score the goal.
Dumfries also tried to score the goal and hit woodwork, but the Netherlands was not looking good in the first half, as they only created few chances.
