The test match between England Women and India Women team has been drawn at Bristol. Sneh Rana for India has played a match-saving innings during follow-on. She has become the first Indian Woman cricketer to get 4 wickets and 50+ scores in her debut match.
England team declared their first innings at 396/9. the skipper Knight has scored 95 runs for the side. Sneh Rana got 4 wickets in the first innings of her debut match. India had scored 231 runs in the first innings. Shefali Verma and Smriti Mandhana have put runs on the board. But no other player could contribute that much.
Shefali scored 96 runs for India. Sophie Ecclestone got 4 wickets for England in the first innings. England skipper sends India to follow on the score in the second innings.
Shefali and Sneh Rana saved India Women team
The top order of Indian team have fought well in the second innings. Shefali scored 63 runs and Deepti Sharma scored 54 runs. but the middle order collapsed again in the second innings.
Mithali Raj, Harmanpreet failed to get double digits. While the team was loosing hope Sneh Rana came to rescue the team. She has scored 80* runs in the second inngs and helped India to reach 344/8.
The wicket keeper batsman Tania Bhatia also assisted Sneh Rana with scoring 44 runs at lower order.
“So proud, it was important to put up a partnership, that’s what happened with Shikha and Taniya. Feels great to contribute to the team. My thinking was just to stick to the basics and play according to the merit of the ball,” Rana said.
“Anything loose and I just wanted to put it to the boundary. An emotional moment for me, being picked for the national team after 5 years, I’m very happy. I have never played here before, this knock will give me plenty of confidence going into the white-ball games,” Rana added.
