Enzo Maresca clarifies on Cole Palmer return ahead of the ‘big’ London Derby

Enzo Maresca issued a major update on injury status of Cole Palmer. Chelsea are gearing up to face Arsenal in game week 11 of the Premier League. The Blues will be hosting the Gunners for an exciting London derby clash. Especially considering the fact that both the teams have the same number of points in the league table. The Blues are ahead on goal difference. Although, the Blues have been unable to beat the Gunners in the league since August 2021. At the same time, Mikel Arteta and his men did begin the season in great form. But they seem to falter in Martin Odegaard’s absence. So they will be keen to return back to winning ways too. It promises to be an interesting game to say the least.

Enzo Maresca offers Cole Palmer injury update

As per football.london, the 22-year-old star has not been back in training for the Blues. He was on the receiving end of a horrifying tackle by Lisandro Martinez as the Blues would face Man Utd. Nonetheless, Enzo Maresca has now made it clear that he will choose to play Cole Palmer depending on the situation 24 hours before the game. Fans would be keen to see their main man back in action. His absence could pretty much tilt the tie in Arsenal’s favor.

Who will win: Chelsea or Arsenal?

As for the Gunners, chances are that we may see Martin Odegaard back on to the field. The Arsenal captain has been back in training since Tuesday. So playing him could be a risk but his presence on the field would be worth it for the away side. As for Enzo Maresca, Cole Palmer has been at the heart of things at Chelsea. At the same time, he is a big game player too. So, his absence will change their level of play in the attacking third. As a result, bringing him back to full fitness could be key. Both sides actually look pretty evenly matched this time. We might be looking at a draw again.
