Speaking in an interview with a German publication, Borussia Dortmund chief Hans-Joachim Watzke, says it will be difficult to keep Erling Haaland next summer. The Norwegian star is already a hot target for the last two summer transfer markets. But Dortmund has somehow managed to keep their firing forward in their squad.

Haaland joined Borussia Dortmund in January 2020, after which he has never looked back. The youngster has to date scored 68 goals playing 67 matches for the German side, while more are to be added. But Haaland’s future at Borussia Dortmund seems to be ending with top clubs lurking around him.

In this summer only, Chelsea offered a hoping price of €170 million for Haaland but Dortmund rejected the bid as they were not interested. While nearing the next summer window the youngster might be available for €75-100 million. Following which it seems hard for the German side to keep hold of their prolific striker.

And the Borussia Dortmund chief Hans-Joachim Watzke also told the same words as he was asked about Haaland situation. The chief said, “Of course it will be difficult. We’ll do everything we can to keep our top players loyal to us in the future”. It seems the German side have already accepted the defeat for keeping Haaland.

The clubs who are interested in signing Haaland are all big money clubs who will have no problem in shedding money. So, if Dortmund really wants to keep hold of Haaland then they have to offer a new high-earning contract. Or else they have to open the doors for the youngster to leave next summer.

Borussia Dortmund has another worry in their head other than Erling Haaland

Erling Haaland is already a big name in the current football world, but there is another one who is rising the ranks at Borussia Dortmund. Jude Bellingham is an 18-year-old midfielder who was also a top target this summer. As four premier clubs enquired about signing the youngster which includes Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Manchester United.

However, Borussia Dortmund hanged a not-for-sale board for Jude Bellingham as they were not ready to sell him. But, no one knows about the future, and a high-paying job is always a source of attraction. Following which if any club in the future offers a good-paying job then Dortmund can lose their young midfield talent.
